Scotland Comedy Fringe

14 Aug

Fans, friends, enemies. It’s going great here in Scotland, Edinburgh. The sun shines for seventy hours a day, the locals have taken us into their hearts and their homes (for just £3,000p/m) and the streets are paved with haggis. It stinks. It’s a health hazard. I don’t know why they would use haggis instead of concrete, it doesn’t make any sense.

Our shows have been going really well. We are having to turn people away at the door, because we don’t want it to be our fault if someone dies of being squashed. We don’t know why so many come. It must be because our venue looks like a crack den. Comedy fans love crack so much. It could also be because of how safe it is and they want to feel safe… NAAAHT

IMG_2444(But actually now it’s fine and all the problems have been ironed out and no one has died of falling through a floor hole or electrocution.)

So if you happen to be in Scotland Edinburgh Fringe Festival then come and see our show, Birthday Girls: Party Vibes, at Cowgatehead space 6 at 10pm every night. Come every night. Also BREAKING NEWS we’ve added an extra show! Friday the 15th at 11:30pm. We’ll be so tired it’ll be so much more fun!

Love you

UHDUHNBRUH TWUNTY FOURTERN! (edinburgh2014)

We’re going to the Edinburgh Festival… again! It’s gonna be great and also really great and nothing but great.

We made a video about it and how excited we are about smelling it.

NEW YEAR (ISH), NEW FILM (SHORT)

23 Jan
Valentine

Happy kind of nearly the end of January! Hasn’t it been DEPRESSING? No. No? WHY NOT? Because we have been eating cake and drinking gin and putting off our new year’s resolutions till the middle of the year dummies.

That pic is a still from a short film we did called Valentine, directed by the uber-cool and talented Kate Herron with Rob Savage DOP’ing the shit out of it.

It’s on at the London Comedy Film Festival this Sunday with a load of other shorts and you can get tix and info by clicking HERE.

WHAAAAT? It’s on at the cinema at 11am on a SUNDAY morning? Chill out guys. It’s just like being locked in at school over night. It will feel wrong and bad and exciting and dangerous and ultimately we’ll all feel glad we experienced it.

Here’s a link to an interview Kate did for Shooting People about the film and other bits…CLICK ME!

Hope to see you there!

P.S. We are doing a new material night VERY soon! INFO HERE!

Feeding Time

Hey guys,

We’ve had a little break of late. We did the Edinburgh festival and it drained us of most of our life force, so we took a little comedy nap.

The good news is that now we’re back home in stinky old London and we have eaten enough food to sustain us for the winter. This means we will be doing some comedy shows, or ‘gigs’, which is great news for those people who missed the Edinburgh festival, because we will be doing our AMAZING show Birthday Girls: 2053 at the following places:

Saturday 28th September, The Globe Inn, Glossop:  TICKETS PLEASE

Sunday 29th September, The Frog and Bucket, Manchester: PRETTY PLEASE!

Thursday 10th October, The Camden Head, Camden

Sunday 20th October, The Pleasance, Islington:  HO LORDY!

So get yourself down to a gig mates! We need you to come.

R.I.P The Wilmington Arms!

18 Jul

Ok. It’s a pub so it can’t technically die, it can only close down. And ok, it isn’t even closing down, it’s just turning into a gastro pub, but still, IT’S A SAD DAY.

The Wilmo is the place we did our first ever gig in London. It’s where we learned how sweet the sound of laughter can be, and also how soul-destroying the sound of silence. It’s the best grotty back room of a pub we’ve ever played in.

To give comedy’s premier venue a right good send off, we’re doing one last gig with some of our favourite acts that have graced our residencies there to give it a right good send off before they paint it pastel colours, put in the distressed mirrors and start serving trios of mini-burgers.

YOU HAVE TO COME!

THE FINAL EVER BIRTHDAY GIRLS COMEDY PARTY is on 23rd July at 8pm.

It features all these amazing people:
